Goldfrapping
It's hard to believe that Goldfrapp have been at it for 17 years. I remember back in high school buying their first album, mostly on the strength of that lovely Metropolitan-esque cover. That album still feels out of time and without comparison. Sure, it's electronic-spooky in the manner of Björk. But it also has this weird sci-fi-pastoral vibe, definitely at home in the early 00s, but totally unique to this day.
In 2017 they're back with another excellent album. Perhaps not quite the home run that was Tales of Us, but completely satisfying nonetheless. Peep the opening video below.
